Where Queerness and Faith
Can Breathe Again
Inner Compass offers an 8-week, in-person or hybrid group for LGBTQ+ people who are navigating faith, spirituality, and identity. Designed for churches, LGBTQ centers, and progressive communities, this group helps participants move from shame and confusion toward wholeness, belonging, and liberation.
This group is created for LGBTQ+ adults who:
experienced religious or spiritual harm
feel tension between their non-hetero-ness and their upbringing
are deconstructing old beliefs and building something new
want companions on the journey of integrating identity and faith
are curious about reclaiming spirituality on their own terms
Perfect for:
LGBTQ+ centers
Churches committed to radical inclusion
campus ministries and chaplaincy programs
community organizations wanting to support queer spiritual flourishing
Participants do not need to be certain about what they believe—this is a space for exploration, honesty, and healing.
How it Works
Each week, the group meets for 75–90 minutes in a small circle of 8–12 participants. Together, we unpack stories, explore meaning, and reclaim agency over our spiritual lives.
Storytelling & Witnessing

We gently explore new ways of understanding scripture, God, bodies, love, and community that affirm LGBTQ+ lives.Integration Practices
Reflective prompts, grounding exercises, and spiritual practices that support participants in their day-to-day lives.Community & Solidarity
A chance to hear “me too” from others on similar journeys, and to know you’re not the only one untangling and rebuilding. No Pressure to Believe a Certain Way
You can be questioning, curious, spiritual-but-not-religious, or something else entirely. The group makes room for your process.

Customized for Your Community
Together, we’ll shape language, examples, and practices so they resonate with your context—whether that’s a church reclaiming its covenant with queer members or a center offering spiritual integration for its community.
Here, queerness is not a problem to solve but a gift to bless and a story to honor.
When spiritual harm goes unaddressed, it can echo in mental health, relationships, and self-worth for years. Many LGBTQ+ people carry:
internalized shame about who they are
fear of rejection by family or faith communities
unresolved anger or grief toward religious institutions
a deep longing to reconnect with the sacred in a life-giving way
This group exists so that people don’t have to choose between their queerness and their spirituality. They deserve both: a fully alive identity and a fully alive sense of the sacred.
“I’m committed to making this group accessible while honoring the depth of preparation and care it requires. Most 8-week series fall within a fair, collaborative price range. Let’s talk about what’s possible for your community.”
